Gold medal award at RHS Tatton Park Flower Show for Caths Garden Plants, our second RHS Gold medal in three weeks!
We are thrilled to have been awarded an RHS Gold medal for our display in the Floral Marquee at Tatton Park Flower Show. Our 17' circular display was created by Bob, Kate and Stuart and displayed a wide variety of herbaceous

perennials, ferns, grasses and small trees. As our plants are grown naturally, the display showed visitors plants that could be planted together in their gardens to combine colour and interest at this time of year.
A bright red Crocosmia 'Hellfire' was shown in front of Molinia caerulea 'Skyracer', a green upright growing grass, and a combination much commented on by show visitors. Kniphofia 'Tawny King', Crocosmia 'Orange Devil' and a bright

flame-coloured Watsonia pillansii also created a striking combination alongside Hemerocallis 'El Desperado and Heleniums Mardi Gras' (shown and a new variety) and 'Sahin's Early Flowerer'.
More pastel coloured combinations featured the lovely pink Sidalceas 'Elsie Heugh' and

'Sussex Beauty' combined with white Leucanthemums 'Aglaia', Christine Hageman, a beautiful pale lilac-blue Campanula x symphyandra (one of my favourites) and Achilleas 'Saucy Seduction' and 'Apricot Delight' (shown).
After a busy show we are all enjoying being back in the nursery listening to the birds and getting on with potting, labelling plants and refilling the sales area and tidying up. I was lucky to see the second batch of wrens leave their nest last weekend, one of the aspects which makes working in the nursery such a joy.
