We are thrilled to be featured in the Nursery profile in the RHS The Garden magazine, June issue. Roy Lancaster
visited the nursery with his colleagues last year. It was just before we loaded the trolleys for Hampton Court Flower Show so we had a very busy week. As the article shows, the weather was warm and the nursery and growing areas looked extremely colourful. All hands were on deck cleaning up both the display and sales plants that were going to the show. Achillea 'Pink Grapefruit' shown.
During any show period the nursery unfortunately often looks rather devoid of colour for a few days until the next lot of
plants open their flowers. However, we also love all the foliage and think that some gardeners miss out if they focus totally on flowers as the foliage lasts much longer than many flowers on most plants. Image opposite Geranium 'Rozanne'.
We spent a pleasant time with Roy and value his knowledge and experience gathered over many years which he is so happy to share. He still has links with the north, his sister still lives up here, and we saw him recently at Harrogate Spring Flower Show. I am going to try to add a link from the RHS to the article so that those of you who are not RHS members will be able to read the article.
