Try Something Different

On Tuesday 7 September 2010 we are offering our 'Try something different' event starting at 10am - approx. 12-30pm.  Bob will talk about some of the more unusual and rarer plants that can be grown in northern gardens.  He will provide information and advice on how to grow some of the more unusual and challenging plants such as Watsonia(shown below right), Bupleurum(shown left) and Lobelia tupa to name a few.  These plants do not usually require a lot of extra work but the right conditions for them to flourish which will be explained by Bob.

Slides and plants will be used to illustrate the talk.  There will be time for you to ask questions or share your own experience either during the session or afterwards as we are available all afternoon for questions.
Ticket price includes tea/coffee and a biscuit.  RHS members £8.75:  non-RHS members £10.95.  Please ring the nursery on:- 015395 61126 to book.  Lunches can be taken at the hotel if wished(sandwiches, bar snacks etc) and can be ordered during the morning.  The event will be held inside so outdoor clothing is not required.
